A study conducted by Dr. Gitte Lindgaard of Carleton University in Ottawa demonstrates the importance of a good first impression. This study was recently published in the Behaviour and Information Technology journal showed that the ratings made in just 50 milliseconds were very similar to the judgments made after a longer examination.
